Publishing Terms

You retain full ownership and copyright of everything you upload to UnMomento Publishing — your stories, chapters, photos, cover art, and all content. UnMomento Publishing and its owner claim no ownership of your work, now or ever. Your words and images remain entirely yours.

By publishing, you grant UnMomento Publishing only a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your book on the public bookshelf so readers can access and read it. This license exists solely to present and distribute your work through UnMomento, and ends when you unpublish. You may publish or license the same work anywhere else.

You warrant that everything you upload is your own original work, or that you hold all necessary rights to publish it — including any photos, illustrations, or quotations it contains. You confirm your content does not knowingly infringe anyone else's copyright or other rights, and that you are free to publish it here.

UnMomento Publishing is a self-publishing platform; its owner bears no legal responsibility for the content users upload. Responsibility for user-submitted content — including potential infringements — rests with the author who published it. UnMomento will act on valid takedown notices submitted under our Copyright & Takedown process.

Your content must follow our community standards: no plagiarism, hate speech, harassment, targeted abuse, spam, or unlawful material. Documentary and testimonial war stories — firsthand accounts of conflict, violence, and hardship — are expressly welcome and protected here. Readers can report content for review; reports are assessed by humans and never used to penalize genuine testimony.

Publishing on UnMomento is free — we charge no fees to publish, and we take no share of anything a reader chooses to send you. We may introduce optional paid features in the future, but your ability to publish and be read will never require payment.

UnMomento does not process, hold, transmit, or refund money. We are not a payment processor, money transmitter, escrow agent, or bank.

Where an author displays a contribution link — a tip jar, a donation page, or similar — that link points to a third-party service the author has chosen and controls. Any payment you make is a transaction solely between you and that author through that service, governed by that service's terms and privacy policy, not ours.

We do not see your payment details. We do not receive a share of contributions. We cannot confirm, cancel, reverse, or refund any payment, and we cannot mediate a dispute about one. If a contribution does not arrive, arrives twice, or needs to be reversed, contact the payment service you used and the author directly.

We do not verify that a displayed contribution link belongs to the author who displayed it. Send money at your own discretion. Report a link you believe to be fraudulent using the report control on the page.

To publish a book, accept contributions, or enter any agreement with us, you must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.

To read published work and create a reader account you must be at least 13.

UnMomento links to services we do not operate, including author contribution links. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms, privacy practices, or availability.

You may unpublish your book at any time, for any reason, from the Author Studio. Unpublishing removes the book from the public bookshelf; your manuscript and chapters remain yours in the studio.
